Introduction

Website Mission: The mission of the NPS Budget Website is to provide current and accurate information concerning the financial operation of the National Park Service. This will be achieved by furnishing the tools necessary in understanding the Federal budget process, a wide variety of budgetary tables and reports, and access to relevant publications and the most recent budget news.

Method: Our goal is to provide a Website that is intuitive to all levels of users; it is essential that novice users be able to easily navigate the Website. We believe that this goal is achieved by constantly reviewing the site to determine what is useful to our users and what may be a hindrance. Since users have various ways of browsing at Websites, a Site Index has been created which lists the site’s contents in a bare-bones way, without having to navigate drop-down menus.

Who We Are: We are the National Park Service Budget Office located in Washington, D.C. and are responsible for the overall formulation and execution of the NPS budget. We strive to ensure that all users are well informed and have a sound understanding of the National Park Service budget process.
